Weight is more than just a function of “calories in vs calories out”. This is because the good bacteria in your gut, also called probiotics, do a lot behind the scenes to influence how you digest nutrients and burn fat. To manage weight, our goal is to introduce more diversity in our gut and remove factors that lead to imbalance.
Summer’s wrapping up. When cooler temperatures are imminent, we commence our seasonal plan to avoid colds and flus. Kudos for taking responsibility for your well-being! But rather than “boosting” your immune system, I’m making the case for “modulating” it instead — through taking good care of your gut year-round.
